Official: No response from US to Russia’s signal to begin dialogue

DAVOS, Jan 25 (PRIME) -- Russia has signaled to the United States that it is ready to start dialogue, but there is still no response, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos on Thursday.

“We shook hands, but there was no discussion. They are hiding somewhere. I gave them to understand that I am ready (for dialogue). I did it using our diplomatic channels… but they never responded,” he said.

The official added that Russia and the U.S. have now “toxic” and “difficult” relations.

“We still cooperate. We have political dialogue on Syria, North Korea, global challenges, energy, but I should say that we have no real cooperation in economic issues,” he said.
